According to narcotics investigators, the bottom fell our of meth labs when the new law requiring a signature for ephedrine or other drugs for use in the manufacture of meth was enacted.

Jail Admissions

As of 27 February 2007, there are 34 inmates, 13 serving for controlled substance crimes.  It would be safe to say that some burglaries and thefts are committed to support a meth habit.

Minnesota Statistics

National Statistics

• Meth users who met criteria for dependence or abuse increased from 27.5% in 2002 to 59.3% in 2004 (Nat'l Survey on Drug Use & Health)
